Dr. Allison Blake, Commissioner of the NJ Department of Children and Families came to the Highlands Family Success Center to read to a group of local West Milford preschoolers. She also present Eileen Van Kirk with a certificate for achieving her Girl Scouts Silver Award. Eileen graciously donated a bench and book shelf to create a cozy corner at the HFSC to help children of the community foster a love for reading. In honor of National Literacy Month Commissioner Blake also read the book “Brown Bear Brown Bear” to the children and took a tour of the new West Milford Library.
